Couples Therapy

My Approach

I offer couples therapy and family therapy to people looking to work through feeling stuck, disconnected, in conflict, or wanting to deepen their relationship.  I work with you to help you notice your relational patterns, what keeps you stuck in repetitive cycles, and have more choices about how you want to respond to each other.

My approach is grounded in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based, gold-standard treatment for couples. I also integrate aspects of Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I combine attachment theory, multicultural context, and mindfulness-based focus on intra-connection and interconnection. As an LGBTQIA-affirming, anti-racist therapist, I value understanding the identities within each of you and your intersecting contexts.

Getting Started

I am trained in many evidence-based psychotherapies that can be helpful for you, I believe that good therapy is about the relationship between us more than the specific interventions we use. To that end, I offer a free 15-20 minute consultation call for us to get to know one another and discuss what you’re seeking. Here I will give you an overview of how my approach may meet your needs and we can determine together whether we may be a good fit. If we decide to work together, we will schedule an intake session and follow-up sessions.

Payment & Reimbursement

I am an out-of-network provider. If you'd like to work with me and use your insurance, you can call your plan to find out if you have out-of-network reimbursement, as many plans do. If so, I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to insurance to receive reimbursement. I encourage you to reach out to your plan to learn about their policies, and I am happy to support you in navigating the process.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
